Flow Measurement Solutions for Gas, Liquids, and Steam

Pro-V® multivariable flowmeters utilize three primary sensing elements––a vortex shedding velocity sensor, an RTD temperature sensor, and a solid-state pressure transducer––to measure the mass flow rate of gases, liquids and steam. The Pro-V can deliver volumetric flow, mass flow, temperature, pressure, density, and energy (BTU) measurements from a single installed device.  Since the Pro-V is able to measure all process variables within a single device it provides exceptional accuracy, simplifies system design and reduces installation costs. VorTek’s Pro-V series features a rugged design with no moving parts, excellent rangeability, advanced communication options such as BACnet/IP and Modbus TCP/Ip, Ethernet (PoE), loop powered models, high accuracy, rangeability up to 100:1, multivariable design, and more.

Pro-V meters are ideal for saturated and steam applications, density compensated mass flow meter, and thermal energy metering (BTU).   The Pro-V Model M23 offers optional retractor or “hot-tap” hardware that simplifies installation and eliminates need for process shutdown.

VorTek’s line of SonoPro high-accuracy transit-time ultrasonic technology deliver accurate and reliable flow metering for your processes.  The innovative design incorporates matched precision transducers and signal processing circuitry to accurately measure the flow of most liquids over a wide range of velocities. SonoPro® meters are available with clamp-on or insertion transducers. Clamp-on meters have no wear, create zero pressure loss, and do not require process interruptions to install them since they are attached to the outside of the pipe

SonoPro features high accuracy flow measurement, bi-directional flow measurement, energy (BTU) measurement, non-invasive installation, no wetted or moving parts, no pressure drop, high-turndown ratio, no drifting or recalibration, and low total costs of ownership. They are ideal for applications ranging from hot/chilled water systems, boiler feedwater, portable water sub-metering and more.

VorTek Instruments Pro-M™ Electromagnetic Flowmeter offers accurate and reliable flow metering of liquids. Using Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction, these meters offer accurate and reliable volumetric flow metering of a variety of conductive liquids. Unaffected by the temperature, pressure, density, or viscosity of the liquid, these meters provide a level of measurement stability unmatched among flow metering technologies.  VorTek’s Pro-M Electromagnetic Flow Meters are ideal for hot/chilled water systems, process water, and cost allocation/ sub-metering.

Get accurate and reliable flow measurement for your process with VorTek’s TurboPro® Turbine Flow Meters. VorTek’s Pro-T multivariable flowmeters utilize three primary sensing elements –a turbine sensor, an RTD temperature sensor, and a solid-state pressure transducer–– to measure the mass flow rate of gases, liquids and steam. TurboPro® is able to measure all process variables within a single device to provide exceptional accuracy, simplify system design, and reduce installation costs. VorTek’s TurboPro provides excellent rangeability and can measure very low flow rates with negligible permanent pressure drop. The model Pro-T- EM Energy monitoring option permits real-time calculation of energy consumption for a facility or process and can be programmed to measure steam, hot water, or chilled water.

VorCone® flowmeters utilize two different flowmeter technologies in combination: vortex and differential pressure. The design has blended the two separate flow metering principles into one hybrid system where the two meters complement each other’s performance. This combination allows for the prediction of the fluid density, volumetric flow rate, and mass flow rate without any fluid density information being required from an external source.

This ability to measure fluid density allows the meter to provide several valuable outputs. In saturated steam service, the meter produces a reliable steam quality (dryness) measurement and mass flow rate reading. In gas service, the meter can calculate the density of changing gas mixture. For example, natural gas is typically composed of many different gases that vary over time and by application. In wet natural gas service, the meter can provide a reliable liquid loading measurement and gas mass flow rate reading.
